Dance is my first love.
Dance will forever be my 1st passion since I was a little girl. From dance I grew into the multifaceted artist I am today, so dance holds a very special place in my heart.
My journey as a versatile dancer has opened a lot of doors for me and I’ve been very fortunate to work with some of the top choreographers in the industry today such as Debbie Allen, Francesca Harper, Twyla Tharp, Joe Mckneely, Josh Burgasse, Sergio Trujillo, Andy Blankenbuler and Justin Peck.
When I was a pre-teen, I auditioned for and danced in several children’s productions at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with Debbie Allen as director and choreographer. Mrs. Allen was a huge influence in my early years as a dancer. She put us through the whole process—auditioning, and taught us what it takes to be a professional dancer. She pushed us to be the greatest that we could be. When the 43rd Kennedy Center Honors paid tribute to Allen I was among the group of dancers performing in her honor. The celebration aired on CBS in June 2021. That was such a full circle and special moment for me.
My original plan after college was to be a concert dancer but Musical theatre came sooner than I expected and I continued to ride that train. I was last seen in Hamilton on Broadway for about 3 and a half years. Before that I was in On Your Feet, Gigi, 1st National tour of Come Fly Away, Wonderland and my broadway debut in the Revival of West Side Story in 2009. West Side Story changed my life and after doing that production I fell in love with Theater. Most recently I can be seen in Steven Spielberg’s West side story choreographed by Justin Peck, which was also another very huge full circle moment.
